The Project Officer, Minor Works and Maintenance has a key role in assisting the Infrastructure Program Coordinator in the state-wide formulation, coordination, implementation, delivery and management of QAS building related programs, including statutory and planned maintenance, condition assessments, building compliance and management, soft services and minor capital works. The role will also assist with the financial tracking, ordering, payment and reporting of minor works and maintenance programs, contribute to the development of policy and guidelines and provide advice to the QAS Regions and Districts consistent with the objectives of the QAS.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes: Demonstrated capability and experience in successfully supporting and assisting in the development, implementation and delivery of state-wide maintenance and/or minor capital works projects, including the preparation and updating of budgets and the analysis of expenditure and asset related data.Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policy and government requirements and contribute to program development, planning and the provision of specialist advice.Sound organisational skills and the proven ability to work autonomously in directing and coordinating external suppliers to effectively deliver works that meet operational objectives and deadlines.Demonstrated well-developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence these parties to achieve organisational objectives.Proven innovative and analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse data and prepare clear and concise reports and correspondence.Demonstrated strong commitment to delivering high quality client service with a flexible and agile approach, within a complex, rapidly changing and sensitive organisational environment.The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role: Whilst not mandatory, a qualification or formal training in building construction, asset or facilities management, project management or Queensland Government procurement will be highly regarded.The incumbent may be required to travel intrastate on official business and the possession of a "C" class driver's licence is required.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
