Enjoy a great work-life balance with a hybrid working model.Join an organisation with a fantastic culture.The Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is a Victorian Government statutory authority whose role is to work with and support natural resource management agencies, Traditional Owners, and local communities to improve sustainable land use, biodiversity, and water resources management extending from Ballarat south through the Western District Lakes and Victorian Volcanic Plains including Colac and Geelong, through the Otway Ranges to the coast along the Great Ocean Road.
About the opportunity We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our strategy and partnerships team to coordinate the delivery of three key programs within the Barwon River catchment: The Upper Barwon Flagship project, Living Moorabool Flagship project, and Kitjarra-dja-bul Bullarto Langi-ut project.
All three projects involve community and multi-agency delivery of a suite of natural resource management and infrastructure projects to enhance the strong cultural and natural values of the Barwon River catchment while providing greater community connection to the river corridor.
The programs include activities related to environmental water, riparian vegetation, citizen science, and amenity enhancement.
This position is primarily involved with providing governance support through coordination, stakeholder engagement, promotion, project integration, reporting, and evaluation activities while providing support to other activities within the Strategy and Partnerships team.
This role is full-time, permanent with a combination of office and field work.
We offer flexible work arrangements and support working from home in combination with working from our main office in Colac.
We also provide the option of working from Geelong for some of your time.
This role will suit someone with experience working with communities in natural resource management or environmental management looking to dive in and grow in the role.
Remuneration for the role is $69,124 - $80,231 per annum depending on experience plus superannuation.
About you To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience working with communities in natural resource management, environmental management, agriculture, or community engagement and a relevant diploma or degree qualification.Strong project delivery knowledge, skills, and implementation capabilities.High-level interpersonal, engagement, and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Good written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare professional business correspondence and reports with attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to solve minor problems using your knowledge of NRM.Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive, inclusive organisational culture.Demonstrated ability to model Corangamite CMA's values and behaviours.What we offer At Corangamite CMA, employees enjoy a range of employee benefits including:
