As a member of the Community Infrastructure Unit's Property Maintenance team, contribute to the growth and sustainability of Tasmania's social and affordable housing system by assisting in the maintenance of the Director's social and affordable housing assets through the establishment of new general maintenance contracts. This includes:• Research and provide options in relation to new maintenance services that support Homes Tasmania's strategic objectives.• As project manager, lead a small project team established to transition operational models for the delivery of general maintenance services.• Liaise with Community Infrastructure sub-units in relation to the establishment and transition of new maintenance contracts and capital improvement deliverables, including disability modifications and upgrades.• Liaise with relevant staff from Homes Tasmania business units in relation to contracted services and proposed upgrades.• Liaise with other agency representatives and not-for-profit organisations in relation to the delivery of maintenance upgrade projects as part of new Homes Tasmania's strategic planning.
$104,756.00 to $118,730.00 pro rata, per annum - plus 11.0 % Superannuation

Period of employment / Hours: Fixed term full-time day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) commencing ASAP for a period of 12 months.

Skills and experience : Selection criteria includes: Demonstrated knowledge of project management within the Tasmanian Government framework and experience in the management of contract performance, management and compliance principles and practices. Strong liaison and consultation skills with the ability to research, present and evaluate reports and submissions and negotiate recommendations. Well-developed ability to effectively design and implement maintenance operational programs and undertake project management.
