We deliver a range of government funded employment programs and provide consulting services for businesses and organisations working to improve Indigenous employment outcomes.

The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Project Officer to undertake a range of projects including reviewing, updating and implementing corporate policies and procedures, and assisting with internal audits.
You will have strong project management skills and enjoy working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be skilled at adapting these to meet the needs of your audience.
You have experience in developing policies and procedures and translating them into training materials for delivery to frontline staff and management.
You have a commitment to continuous quality improvement and are familiar with audit techniques to test the extent to which policies are being applied in practice.
Core ResponsibilitiesUndertake projects and contribute to the timely review, updating and implementation of Yilabara's corporate policies and procedures including the preparation of project plans, revised policies and procedures, communication and training materials and their delivery.Contribute to the implementation of Yilabara's internal audit plan including through the conduct of individual audits using agreed methodologies and tools.Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing reports, to support informed decision-making and planning.Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of projects, including monitoring and reporting of project budgets, resource requirements, stakeholder engagement, contract administration, and procurement.Develop and maintain working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders and provide technical support and training to staff.Support the ongoing monitoring and updating of Yilabara's legislative compliance, policy and training registers reporting on emerging issues and compliance risks.Provide ad hoc support with administrative functions during periods of high demand.Minimum RequirementsAboriginality – this is an identified position under Section 14(4) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.Knowledge and awareness of the cultural practices, values and issues that affect Aboriginal people in today's society.Demonstrated experience in project management including planning, research, risk management, communication and reporting, planning, research and preparation of reports and documentation.Demonstrated experience in the development, review and implementation of policies/programs and procedures contributing to continuous improvement in business processes and quality.Strong negotiation, interpersonal and written communication skills including the capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate professionally at all levels.Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands, prioritise and meet deadlines.Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.Experience utilising financial management systems (e.g.
Xero, ProSpend).Valid Working With Vulnerable People (WWCC) Check and National Police Check.Driver Licence (Class C, minimum P2).This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to a growing Aboriginal organisation with a commitment to Closing the Gap for Aboriginal people.
