About the role We're looking for an organisational whiz that can take on this unique Project Officer role to join our Shared Services team for a 1-year contract (parental leave position).
Reporting to the Head of Shared Services, you'll play a vital role in delivering key projects aligned with Surf Life Saving Australia's (SLSA) strategic goals.
From managing impactful national reports to supporting meaningful campaigns and initiatives, your work will directly contribute to making a difference in the community.
Responsibilities This position is integral to our mission, driving forward key initiatives and contributing to the overall success of our team.
Your expertise will shape our strategic direction and operational efficiency, directly impacting our innovation, growth, and the maintenance of SLSA's iconic Australian brand.
Project Management Lead and deliver projects such as: Strategic Plan National Coastal Safety Reports and coastal safety briefs Red and Yellow Day Reconciliation Action Working Group Special marketing and digital projects Track project progress using project management tools and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Evaluate project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learned.
Manage risks and act as the first escalation point for project-related challenges.
Administration Collaborate with the Head of Shared Services and team managers to provide administrative support.
Assist in fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Who You Are Our ideal candidate will have: 1) Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in Communications, marketing, project Management, or a related discipline.
2) Knowledge and Experience: Proven experience in project management.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
3) Skills and Attributes: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
A collaborative, team-focused attitude and a strong work ethic.
