About the role We are looking for a dedicated Project Officer to join our team in delivering impactful projects that address the needs of our business units and clients.
This role involves a blend of project management, research, and collaboration, focusing on improving service delivery and ensuring strong project outcomes.
As this is an Aboriginal Identified position, we seek applicants who are deeply connected to Aboriginal communities and have a solid understanding of Aboriginal cultural and social issues.
Responsibilities Assist in the design, coordination, and implementation of key projects to ensure effective outcomes for the business.
Conduct research and analysis to support project development and improve processes.
Use project management frameworks to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery.
Maintain project documentation, including registers and reports, to track progress and ensure compliance.
Prepare project-related materials such as status updates, budgets, and reports for stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful program development and policy implementation.
Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to shared goals and seeking feedback for continuous improvement.
Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Keep project reports and data accurate and up to date for accountability and tracking purposes.
Essential Criteria: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
Deep understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs, attitudes, and the socio-economic context in Australia.
Strong awareness of the historical and political factors affecting Aboriginal communities, particularly in relation to housing and land rights.
