Key Responsibilities: Supervise the delivery of project works relative to Civil Infrastructure as identified through the various plans (i.e. Business Plan, Community Infrastructure Plan, Asset Management Plan)Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams from various departments and external consultantsReview consultant specifications, drawings, contract documentation and communicate amendmentsEnsure compliance with policies, procedures and local government tender regulationsDevelop tender and contract documentation to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and local government tender regulationsParticipate in review of tender/quote submissions and preparing tender/quote assessment reportsCreate, review, monitor and implement stakeholder communication plans and strategiesManage contractors and the delivery of various contracts of significant scope and complexity, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of eachReview budgets and recommend amendments for quarterly budget reviewsManage the financial process for progress claims from contractors, consultants and suppliersUndertake research, investigation and evaluation of new technology, products and servicesPrepare resource quantities and estimates for all aspects linked to the delivery of civil related projectsEnsure project outcomes are achieved within budget by monitoring and amending project scopes, specifications and resourcesManage the supply of goods and services in accordance with the Procurement Policy and Procedures, ensuring best value for money and optimum quality standards are achievedMonitor and report on project performance to the Supervisor Civil ProjectsAssist in the review and update of formal processes and procedures relating to Civil projectsProvide advice on matters of complexity within the work area and/or disciplineCreate, maintain and store project documentation in the records management systemEnsure all as-constructed records are sent to relevant stakeholders and recorded in the records management systemAssist in the review of policies and recommend changes as necessaryAssist in provision of information for Council agendas, monthly Council Bulletin and project status reportsEstablish and maintain strong working relationships and deliver a high standard of customer serviceFoster, advocate and implement the Customer Service CommitmentThrough the delivery of outstanding service, establish a reputation of customer service excellence throughout the organisationMaintain safe and compliant work practices in accordance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, Risk Management, Contract Management, Project Management, Procurement and Recordkeeping Frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and proceduresIdentify and report on operational risk in accordance with the Risk Management FrameworkDemonstrate a commitment to WHS and the assessment/management of safety risk that is consistent with the WHS Roles and Responsibilities Framework Essential to be successful in this role: Well-developed administrative and practical experience in civil constructionDemonstrated experience in managing contractorsExperience with financial management of multi-disciplinary projects covering budgeting, cost control and reporting requirementsExperience in the production of high quality tender documents such as project scopes, specifications, contracts and estimatesStrong written and interpersonal skills, particularly verbal communicationStrong consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to engage an array of stakeholdersCompetent in implementation of and reviewing Work Health and Safety practices and documentationCurrent 'C' class Australian driver's licenceDegree / Diploma or trade qualification relevant to the position or project managementCurrent valid NPC or ability to obtain one How to apply: If you meet the above requirements and would like to apply, APPLY NOW or email Taylor at DFP Recruitment Perth on ****** - I will call you to discuss your application details if shortlisted.
