The Role The Project Officer, Planning and Governance supports the work program of the Business Planning and Governance team which includes the coordination and management of integrated strategic and group business planning, portfolio governance framework and supporting project driven performance deliverables for the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR).
Key Accountabilities: Provide comprehensive range of project planning and support servicesDevelop communications, briefs and presentationsTriage stakeholder queries and provide adviceProactively resolve problems, identify trends and developmentsSupport the team's work program and contribute to other priorities, projects or tasks, to deliver surge projects and a program of activities, as required.About You This is an opportunity for a team player to join a small project team delivering on a range of departmental planning and entity governance activities supporting stakeholders in their compliance of the enabling legislations and governance obligations.
This role is for someone who has a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to write clearly and concisely, understands government policies and legislative requirements, whilst enjoying working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with others in the Corporate Services Group to support the Victorian community.
You will have excellent project planning skills and/or the ability to co-ordinate a range of activities to support project outcomes.
A commitment to proactive problem solving, initiative and accountability, and strong interpersonal skills is a must for this position.
In this position you will have the opportunity to contribute to the Corporate Services Group's overall strategic direction, ensuring that operations are aligned with the department's priorities and provide crucial planning and support on key projects and programs.
