The Project Officer role within the Program Governance and Integration team of Offshore Wind Energy Victoria manages the secretariat work for the major Governance meetings.
Secretariat functions are a core component of this role requiring a high attention to detail and quality and being organised in a fast-paced work environment.
This role also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to exercise tact and discretion.
This role supports the Manager, Program Governance and the Offshore Wind Executive team to ensure that the Governance program is delivered on schedule and that meetings are delivered to an exceptional standard.The Project Officer also supports the branch in delivering outputs and objectives including the detailed integrated program schedule, risk management, program reporting, probity, and the State's Global Offshore Wind Alliance membership.
The role requires you to build your own understanding of the department's processes and systems to support the Program Governance and Integration branch to meet timeframes and develop high quality deliverables.
The Project Officer will also be required to support the business planning for the branch working closely with the division, and provide policy, procurement and planning support to the team and branch as required.Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Demonstrated experience in Governance or performing a secretariat function is highly desirable.Demonstrated knowledge of offshore wind projects or Energy policy in Victoria is highly desirable.This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027.
