1 x Temporary Full-time role is available until June 2028 Ongoing training and career development support Based in Dubbo with flexible work arrangements Salary – Clerk Grade 7/8 - $106,025 - $117,363 pa plus Superannuation and annual leave loading

We are looking for an experienced Project Officer to support the development of a Remote Housing Strategy to support better outcomes for Aboriginal people in the Murdi Paaki Region.
Join the AHO Remote Housing Strategy team and enjoy working within a small team who are committed to delivering impactful change and meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal People in the Murdi Paaki region.
Your demonstrated project coordination skills will support the delivery of a remote housing strategy to achieve housing outcomes for local communities.
Your role As the Remote Housing Project Officer, you will support the program manager to deliver project activities, and provide data analysis, secretarial, and meeting coordination support, in line with AHO's responsibilities in this program.
Your project coordination and excellent stakeholder engagement experience with Aboriginal communities and Government stakeholders will contribute to better outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities.
What You'll Do Be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, managing, and reporting on strategic programs, including program implementation to meet client service delivery needs, ensuring the use of project management methodologies and processes to deliver consistent high-quality outcomes.
Engage and consult with Aboriginal and Government stakeholders to identify emerging issues and initiate and enable the development of programs which align with service delivery needs and achieve desired outcomes.
Apply understanding of internal policies, regulations, and contract management to ensure compliance, good practice, and delivery of outcomes.
Seek out and actively manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships based on open and regular discussion and feedback to ensure effective interface between program development, planning, service design and policy implementation.
Build commitment and engage with diverse stakeholders in Aboriginal communities and Government to ensure reform programs and initiatives include widespread consultation and encourage a cooperative approach.
Be flexible, and adaptive to changing needs, and represent the requirements of diverse client groups.

What We're Looking For Our desired candidate will be experienced in: Knowledge of OCHRE and Local Decision Making in NSW Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities Excellent writing skills, including preparing government briefs and project documentation with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences effectively.
Valid NSW Driver's License, travel throughout far west NSW will be required regularly.
Communicating, consulting, and consulting effectively with a range of stakeholders Demonstrated experience in analysing data, maintaining systems, records, and preparing reporting.
Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to work under pressure.
