Sydney CBD – Hybrid flexibilityImmediate start 12-month contract$63 -68.51 per hour + superOur Federal Government Client assists the Australian Government to fund hospital and aged care services more efficiently by providing evidence-based price determinations and pricing advice.The Role:The Costing and Data Infrastructure Branch is responsible for the specification, collection and validation of cost and activity data for hospital and aged care. The Costing and Data Infrastructure Branch is also responsible for the storage of that data to determine the national efficient price and national efficient cost each year.Reporting to the Director, Hospital Costing, the APS6 Project Officer supports the branch by:Providing support to specific projects including:Undertaking risk management activitiesMaintaining project schedule and planning milestonesCoordinating communications, including scheduling and documenting project meetingsManaging administrative aspects of projects including project reporting, procurement, record keeping, financial support and logistics.Supporting the annual hospital cost collection by:Preparing data specificationsSupporting submission processes including data validationSupporting contract managementLiaising with stakeholdersUndertaking quality assurance processesMaintaining data securityReviewing and analysing outputs of the cost collectionsReporting on results of cost collectionsSupporting the development and maintenance of the Australian Hospital Patient Costing Standards (AHPCS). Preparing agendas, procurement documents and meeting papers.Supporting the section with ad-hoc projects.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:Working to tight deadlines and responding quickly and flexibly to changing priorities with determination, confidence and attention to detail.Writing and communicating clearly to a high standard, in particular, the ability to write clearly and concisely about complex subject matters, including to general audiences on technical subjects.Showing initiative and demonstrating a resourcefulness to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-pressure environment, supporting a team with high workloads.The ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, in both formal and informal settings, demonstrating well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills.Strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to apply these when developing discussion papers or in support of new policy.The ability to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and risk assessment activities.A familiarity with the National Health Reform Act 2011 and an understanding of the key pillars of activity-based funding, including counting, classifying, costing and pricing.Additionally, a working knowledge in a health-related field, accounting and finance along with Project management or experience in data analysis and trend reporting would be highly desirable.To Apply:To be eligible it is essential that applicants hold Australian Citizenship and have the ability to obtain and maintain a national police check.If you are interested in this role, please do APPLY NOW with your resume and expression of interest in MS Word format or call Karen on for more information.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
