RoleThe Project Officer collaborates with Project Leads and Project Managers to support the timely and budget-compliant delivery of road and bridge improvement projects, ensuring they meet client requirements.They assist in assessing progress claims and variations, monitor and report on project performance, and prepare contract and project documentation.The Project Officer may also be responsible for delivering non-complex projects under the guidance of more experienced Project Leads and Project Managers.Position Outcomes / AccountabilitiesEffective Project Delivery – Under direction, ensures that non-complex capital delivery projects are on time and meet client requirements.Effective Project Support – Has prepared and keeps up to date project plans and project documentation under guidance. Has accurately assessed project status. Has prepared accurate responses to project queries, both contractual and in responding to customers.Quality and Risk Management – The incumbent ensures that projects meet and are delivered in accordance with project management, financial, risk, quality, safety procedures and policy and complies with regulations.Accurate Project Report – Has accurately provided quality, timely reports on physical and financial progress of the project.Customer Services – Keeps internal stakeholders and customers informed about the status of the project and supports resolution of customer queries or concerns.Key Selection Criteria – SummaryAn ideal candidate should excel in project delivery, defining tasks, coordinating teams, and monitoring progress to ensure outcomes are met.
