The Opportunity Melton City Council is seeking a Project Officer to work alongside and support our Facility Maintenance Infrastructure Services team, who are dedicated to renewing and enhancing our built infrastructure.
Reporting to and supporting the Program Lead Property Infrastructure Services, the Project Officer provides critical administrative and operational support to the team, undertakes minor project delivery, and actively consults with our community, staff, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities Providing project administration support to the Program Lead Property Infrastructure Services. Assist with project management responsibilities including procurement, finance activities and liaison with vendors, consultants, and contractors. Procuring minor works in support of larger projects. Participate as a collaborative team member to provide project and committee support to the Facility Maintenance Property Infrastructure Services team. About you To be successful in this role you will have the following: Tertiary qualifications in project management with little or no relevant work experience.
Alternatively, lesser formal qualification with relevant work skills in project or business support. Previous experience working within a local government environment or similar organizational context is advantageous. Understanding of principles of Project Management and how to apply them in a support role. Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
