The Project Officer will workclosely with the Communications Specialist and Program Coordinator tocoordinate an end-of-year event, support regular communications activities andassist in the coordination and execution of a research program focused on themental health of young people.
Key responsibilities:
This is a full-time or part-time 6-month position ending in December 2024
Assist with the planning and delivery of Embrace events.
Develop a communications plan for an Embrace event, and oversee its implementation across a number of mediums including website, social media, newsletters etc.
Work closely with the Embrace Communications Specialist to create engaging content for a range of internal and external channels and to coordinate media engagement opportunities.
Work with the central communications team to organise photo shoots and videography, to maintain an up-to-date range of promotional imagery and footage.
Work closely with the Embrace team to support effective engagement activities (such as events and newsletters) for key stakeholders, particularly Community Group members and Partner organisations.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
About You
This positionwould suit someone with project management, administration and marketing experience,along with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders.Additionally, the key to your success will be your experience/ skills in thefollowing:
Relevant tertiary qualification in communication, science communications or related field.
Experience in community engagement and event planning.
Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team; skilled at coordinating multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
The capability to work responsibly and appropriately with highly confidential information.
Well-developed analytic, conceptual and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
Prior experience in the execution of research activities as part of a team.
