Project Officer, Delivery Support
Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency Details: The Environment Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD) are seeking applications from a highly motivated individual, who displays excellent communication, coordination and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in successful project delivery in operationally diverse government settings, and effective delivery within time constraints.
This advertisement will create a merit pool which can be used to fill future vacancies across the Development and Implementation division of EPSDD.
The Loose Fill Asbestos Coordination team (LFAC) is responsible for managing the Government's response to loose fill asbestos insulation in ACT homes. The team facilitates the delivery of the Loose Fill Asbestos Insulation Eradication Scheme, and activities within the Canberra community related to Government's ongoing legislative, policy or legacy commitments in addressing the risks and impacts from loose fill asbestos insulation.
The Strategic Projects and Direct Sales (SPDS) team is responsible for a wide range of projects related to the supply of land for future development across Canberra and delivering various Government projects. The Strategic Projects work on strategic government projects including land planning, demonstration housing, Build to Rent development, and community facilities development.
Reporting to the Senior Director in LFAC or the Director in SPDS, under limited direction and in accordance with policy, procedure and legislation, the Infrastructure Project Officer is an integral member of LFAC and SPDS teams and will assist in the coordination of reporting requirements as required including Half Yearly and Annual Reports, responses to Ministerial requests including ministerial briefings, correspondence, question time briefs, questions on notice and other government business requests as well as a variety of project-related tasks including procurement that support the effective delivery of the teams work program.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: The position occupant is required to not have any direct conflict of interest relating to loose fill asbestos insulation in ACT homes. Highly Desirable: Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive demonstrated experience in Human Services, Project Management, Program Governance, planning, environmental and sustainability, architecture, landscape architecture and the delivery of urban renewal projects would be welcomed.
