Temporary Full-time opportunity available till 30 June 2026.About the role National Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer Compliance and Programs who will specifically focus on delivery of compliance, visitor and land management programs.
This role will support the management of Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area and other existing NPWS reserves across the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
As a Project Officer (Compliance and Programs) with NPWS, you will undertake a diverse range of tasks including:
Developing and leading compliance activities to support visitor, recreation and conservation opportunities and protect natural and cultural heritage values.Coordinating field-based activities, undertaking visitor and stakeholder liaison, promoting visitor experiences, and supporting the development and implementation of visitor education and awareness programs.Liaising with organisations including NSW Police, DPI and other land management agencies to co-ordinate compliance programs.Coordinating and supervising projects across the reserve system.About You You possess experience in developing and implementing law enforcement and compliance programs, showcasing your ability to navigate regulatory landscapes effectively.
Your proficiency in managing projects will be evident through your background in developing project plans, monitoring timelines, overseeing budgets, and fulfilling reporting requirements.
Additionally, your confidence in handling front-line responsibilities, coupled with a knack for working with diverse interests and stakeholder expectations, will set you apart.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.Current Drivers Licence.Who we are The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) works to protect the state's environment and heritage.
