Project Officer, Centres of ExcellenceFull-time PermanentDetails: Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is looking for an experienced Project Officer to join our new Electric Vehicle TAFE Centre of Excellence (EV TCoE). The EV TCoE is aligned to the net zero transformation national priority under the National Skills Agreement (NSA) and is established to support national workforce capability uplift and address skills gaps and workforce transition.
WHAT DO WE WANT? CIT is seeking an individual with project management and procurement experience to join the new TAFE Centre of Excellence. The Project Officer's primary focus is to support the Program Lead to manage the broad range of projects in the portfolio, including procurement, record-keeping, reporting and evaluation processes.
WHAT WILL YOU DO? The Project Officer could be tasked with projects and activities relating to procurement, research open days and events, governance administration, reporting and record keeping and project management. Some of the key functions this position will be responsible for include:
Project documentationProject team meetingsAdministration for working groups and committeesProcurement documentationPreparation of briefs and proposalsEvent coordinationRecord keepingWHAT DO I NEED? The successful candidate will be adept at working on a dynamic team to manage and coordinate various projects in alignment with government agreements. You will need to have experience in project management practices, coordinating project team meetings, and good collaboration, negotiation and organisational skills to ensure projects stay on track to meet agreed milestones and objectives.
