The Institute works toward Molly's vision by supporting First Nations communities to realize their aspirations for birthing, maternal and infant healthcare.As the Project Officer (Capability Framework), you will create/support the creation of a capability framework tailored to provide comprehensive reproductive health services, including pregnancy, childbirth, neonatal, contraceptive and termination of pregnancy care alongside sexual health and cancer screening within the Aboriginal maternal health/NT health sector. Working closely with stakeholders at our very remote site in Galiwin'ku, including ACCHO'S and NT Health, you will assess existing capabilities, identify gaps, and develop a comprehensive framework to enhance workforce skills, knowledge, and effectiveness.About YouTo be successful, you will require:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Midwifery, Health Sciences, Public Health, Health Administration, Aboriginal Health, Education, or a related field.A strong understanding of sexual and reproductive health issues, policies, and best practices, with significant relevant experience working in the healthcare sector, ideally within sexual and reproductive health services or related fields.Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-guidance, to work independently, with minimal guidance.Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including First Nations healthcare providers and community organisations, and regulatory bodies. Proven experience working effectively with First Nations people and communities and their leaders that demonstrates leading culturally safe practice to meet the expectations of First Nations peoples.Knowledge of the NT Health Sector and familiarity with legislation and policy development processes in the health sector.RemunerationAppointment to this role will be at Research Focused Academic Level B. The base salary will be in the range of $112,710 to $133,262 per annum.
