Project Officer, Agriculture Climate AdaptationThe Project Officer, Agriculture Climate Adaptation works under the direction of the Team Leader, Agriculture Climate Adaptation, and as part of the Agriculture Section.

Climate change is exacerbating our current risks and creating new ones.
Australian farmers need to consider long-term trends in the climate when making decisions about infrastructure development, the suitability of land for certain crops or livestock, investment decisions, farm business succession, and adaptation of farming systems.
Mitigation alone is not enough to stop the impacts of climate change from increasing.

The Project Officer, Agriculture Climate Adaptation supports projects and activities that aim to have real impacts on the agriculture sector by raising the awareness, knowledge, and skills of farmers and producers to continue to take action to build climate resilience and adapt to a changing climate.

The successful candidate will contribute to projects and collaborate with delivery partners and customers to support developing and implementing impactful solutions, under the direction of the Team Leader, Agriculture Climate Adaptation.
