Location:The Department of Health is seeking interest for multiple Project Officers to join the Hospitals and Primary Care team.
These fixed-term full-time positions are based in Hobart, Launceston, and Burnie and support the Directorate's strategic policy agenda.
The Role:Under the broad direction of the Chief Executive, the Project Officer will work within Hospitals and Primary Care to deliver high-level project support, draft documentation, and implement projects aligned with the Directorate's strategic policy agenda.
Lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and active engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate activities to ensure adherence to policies, legislation, and business functions, while managing risks, resolving issues, and supporting meetings and negotiations.Provide strategic advice on complex issues, develop practical solutions, and prepare high-quality correspondence, reports, and project documentation for senior management and stakeholders.You will need:Demonstrated experience and expertise in project management and delivery, with strong organisational skills.High-level strategic, conceptual, analytical, and creative skills, including effective communication with diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and oral communication skills, including the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders.Ability to produce high-quality documentation in various formats for a range of target audiences.Proven capacity to model agile, flexible, and innovative work practices to influence and manage stakeholder expectations.Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a team member, fostering a productive work ethic.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.

Details of appointment:Multiple fixed-term full-time positions working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP until 30 June 2026.

Salary:$107,899 to $122,292 per annum (Pro rata) with an 11.5% superannuation contribution on top.
