This position will support the Reef Authority's goal of looking after the Great Barrier Reef with the use of science and knowledge to inform management actions.
This includes providing high quality project management; planning and conducting user research to inform development and improvement of digital tools and products; coordinating working groups and governance processes; preparing information and reporting products; and contributing to a range of other communication and engagement activities.
You will work closely with Reef Authority staff, management partners and stakeholders to help scope, design and implement digital tools and products that contribute to understanding the health and resilience of the Reef and the effectiveness of management actions.
The position assists the Reef Authority in delivering high quality outcomes for important initiatives such as the Reef 2050 Integrated Monitoring and Reporting Program and the Eye on the Reef Program.
This position also contributes to other key programs of the Science for Management section.
The current position is ongoing however through this process may create a merit pool to fill similar ongoing and non-ongoing positions that become available within the next 18 months.
