The Westpac Group has a complex Information Technology environment that needs to deliver to the rapidly changing needs of our customers and employees, the ever-evolving IT landscape, and the Group's regulatory and statutory requirements.
How will I help? The Project Manager is an important role that helps in driving the Release Trains towards achieving business outcomes. This role is part of the Origination & Servicing team within the Cash and Transactional Banking Domain. A summary of the role is as given below:
Role model servant leadership Assist the train and squads through Agile cadence and help train achieve predictability of delivery. Support the train and the senior product owner to deliver using Agile delivery methods. Work closely with the senior product owner to ensure customer needs are met, and customer value is maximised. Manage estimating with the train and squads and assist sprint planning according to backlog prioritisation. With the senior product owner, plan-ahead to identify risks, interdependencies or conflicting priorities. Help the train and squads to identify alternate approaches to achieving to maximise the value of the delivery. Help the train and squads to clear blockers to delivery. Engage with appropriate external stakeholders to achieve the required outcomes. Provide regular reporting on the progress and status of feature delivery. Manage train delivery to comply with Group governance, methodologies and processes ensuring robust governance is applied. What do I need? To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills, education & personal attributes.
Technical and Industry Expertise: 5 - 7 years' experience within projects and/or delivery of technology solutions  Experience across Agile and adaptive delivery models and mindsets. Experience in developing strong operating rhythms and project management discipline aligned to agile ways of working Expertise with the use of tools such as JIRA and Confluence Experience in building new squads Experience crafting and measuring success with OKRs, KPIs, etc. Accountability and Business Outcomes Focused Collaboration, Influencing and Negotiating Drive and commitment, openness to learn and resilient Champion for Continuous improvement of train performance, predictability and delivery of value Other Desirable Skills:  Previous Banking domain experience is a plus Worked with micro services and/or User experience initiatives.
