This initiative will empower communities to come together to better respond to suicide in their local region.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide Project Management and oversight of the establishment and implementation of the Southern and Central Regions Suicide Prevention Collaboratives ('Collaboratives' or 'Project').
This includes building the foundations and capacity of the Collaborative members to adopt a collective impact and place-based approach to the implementation of systems-based suicide prevention in the region.The Collaboratives initiative focuses on all ages and stages of life, offering a whole of community approach by:Helping collaborators come together to address local needs and to formulate a comprehensive and compassionate response to suicide.Fostering stronger relationships among collaborators.Instilling a powerful sense of community connection and hope.Identifying current initiatives, gaps in community, and coordinating planned activity to reduce duplication of effort and tap into related networks.Establishing community-led suicide prevention strategies and support.Encouraging the sharing of knowledge, learnings, resources, evidence-based interventions, and referral pathways.Providing oversight and review of the effectiveness of local interventions.About YouTo be successful in this role you'll need:QualificationsTertiary qualifications in health and/or suicide prevention field (e.g.
public/allied health, health/allied science, suicide prevention), project management and/or equivalent relevant field/experience.SkillsDemonstrated skills in project management, coordination, including project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, applying project management methodologies.Demonstrated problem solving, research and data analytical skills and capacity to present information and data logically and coherently.Demonstrated ability to liaise and consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including people with lived and living experience of suicide, health professionals, and senior agency level staff through high level interpersonal and communication/engagement skills.Ability to prioritise workloads and multi-task to meet key deliverables.Strong communication skills both verbal and written and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders (internal and external).Ability to be self-directed and demonstrate high-level time management skills.High-level information technology skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.ExperienceDemonstrated experience coordinating and leading knowledge management activities with a focus on best practice.Experience coordinating effective procurement of services, covering technical capability, reporting procedures and quality mechanisms.Extensive experience in the suicide prevention and/or community development sector.Experience using collective impact or place-based approaches are highly desirable.Experience in contract management is highly desirable.How to ApplyApply now by clicking on Apply and include a maximum 2 page cover letter outlining your suitability for the role along with your resume.
