Project Manager: Sport Programmes (HEO 8)
Based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Student Experience and Administration Domain at the City West Campus
Full-time fixed term contract available for 10 months
Salary range $112,143 - $126,318 per annum plus 17% superannuation
We are seeking a Project Manager: Sport to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University.
About the role
As the Project Manager: Sport you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of sports related projects to support the creation of the new Adelaide University (AU). You will be working as part of the Integration Management Office (IMO) which will oversee the integration and transformation to establish the new university. In this position you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams both within UniSA and The University of Adelaide, managing project resources, and ensuring projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.
Core Responsibilities
Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
Resource Management: Identify and allocate the necessary resources, including team members, materials, and equipment, to execute projects efficiently and effectively.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing clear direction, setting performance expectations, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and productivity.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on project timelines and outcomes. Proactively address challenges that may arise during project execution.
Commercial Arrangements: Review, analyse and make recommendations on existing commercial arrangements across both Universities, ensuring that they are aligned to the strategic and operational objectives of AU.
Essential Skills and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualification together with extensive project management experience.
Excellent project management skills with a proven record of successfully managing all aspects of large-scale and complex projects through to completion, in accordance with project management methodologies, standards, timeframes and budgets.
Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, synthesise broad data and analyse at a detailed level.
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to identify emerging issues, trends and opportunities and provide insightful recommendations and advice.
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and work in collaboration with other teams.
