The Department of Planning Lands and Heritage are looking for suitably experienced and enthusiastic people to establish a pool of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, within Land Use Management, to coordinate delivery of projects on behalf of the Department of Planning Lands and Heritage (DPLH) and the Aboriginal Lands Trust (ALT).

We are looking to establish a pool of candidates that are interested in joining our team as either Project Manager – Level 6 or Senior Project Manager – Level 7 .

Project Manager – Level 6
As a Project Manager you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders coordinating and delivering land use management projects which includes the provision of technical/specialist advice to ensure effective and coordinated project delivery.

Senior Project Manager – Level 7
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead, manage and deliver contemporary projects, including strategic projects, aligned to Divisional, Departmental and Governmental objectives.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders coordinating and delivering land use management projects which includes the provision of technical/specialist advice to ensure effective and coordinated project delivery.
You will also be responsible for administering delegated functions of the Minister for Lands under the Land Administration Act 1997 and the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs under the Aboriginal Affairs Planning Authority Act 1972 .

This is an open pool recruitment process for permanent full-time, and fixed term full-time opportunities.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a Pool from which appointments may be made for similar vacancies for a period of 24 months.

To be successful for the Project Manager (Level 6) position, you will need to demonstrate the following requirements for the role:
Understanding of project management principles and the ability to achieve the delivery of complex multi-agency projects.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating project management work including leading and managing projects, and meeting reporting requirements.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Aboriginal people, pastoralists, industry and Government agencies.
Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Leading Others as outlined below.
To be successful for the Senior Project Manager (Level 7) position, you will need to demonstrate the following requirements for the role:
High level understanding of project management principles and the ability to achieve the delivery of complex multi-agency projects.
Significant demonstrated experience leading and managing large, multiple, complicated projects.
Substantial skills and ability in communicating and influencing others, building and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Aboriginal people, pastoralists, industry and Government agencies.
Substantial experience in coordinating project work including meeting reporting requirements to deliver obligations within a State Government context.
Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Leading Others as outlined below.
Core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Leading Others.
Leading Others context is about motivating and enabling others to deliver high quality work that contributes to the agency.
