Our client is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to oversee utility-scale renewable energy projects in Western Australia. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, focusing on wind, solar, and energy storage solutions.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of large-scale renewable projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Your role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and achieving project milestones on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including wind farms, solar power plants, and energy storage systems.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.Oversee project phases from design and procurement to construction and commissioning.Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays promptly.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to senior management and stakeholders.Manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.Foster strong relationships with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders to support project development and acceptance.Implement best practices and methodologies in project management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Ensure all project documentation, including contracts and agreements, is accurate and up-to-date.Lead, mentor, and support project teams to achieve high performance and project success.Contribute to the development of project proposals and bids, including scope definition and cost estimation.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.Minimum 8 years' experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects, with a proven track record of successful delivery.Extensive experience in utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from planning through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Strong understanding of regulatory and environmental requirements in Western Australia.Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders effectively.Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions under pressure.Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.Experience in stakeholder management, including engagement with government agencies and community groups.
