Project Manager (Remote)

Details of the offer

Project Manager | Aspect Personnel | AustraliaExciting newly created role for a Project Manager within Rail Consulting.About the Company:You will be joining a well-established Engineering Consultancy, who are highly regarded and a household name within the rail infrastructure sector. As a company, they provide services across engineering and asset management, rail consulting, construction, and universal access. As a diverse business group servicing the rail market, they have grown considerably over the last 5 years and become more diverse in the services they offer, with delivery to many of the same clients across different business units. They have a close-knit group and an excellent company culture, boasting an extremely low turnover. They also offer hybrid working options, have a great office location, and parking available.About the Role:You will be joining the Rail Consulting division as a Project Manager – Major Projects, a newly created position within the company, reporting directly into the Director of Rail Consulting. One of their key areas of difference has been in the delivery of interface and third-party access where they have become the market leader. The key opportunity for growth in this space is in the expansion of these services to deliver end-to-end projects through project managed design and construct to organizations working in and around the rail corridor. More specifically, genuine opportunity exists with utilities providers and property developers (where land abuts the rail corridor). These clients undertake works including the installation of undertrack bores, road over rail bridges, road under rail underpasses, new dwellings near the corridor, etc. Reporting to the Director – Rail Consulting, this role will lead project delivery for these services to the clients, deliver on the current model, and grow both the revenue and the margin to make the most of the market presence of the group. In consultation with the Director, this role will deliver entrepreneurial and commercial leadership, ensuring the effective execution of the project requirements with major clients to meet the objectives of stakeholders. Engage in the continued growth and expansion of the company's capabilities and market reach across all infrastructure owners seeking to work in and around the rail corridor. Equally important is the genuine leadership of the technical offering, ensuring customers are offered quality solutions to problems in the delivery of works. Working closely with the Technical Advisor and Manager – Human Resources, the role must provide stewardship of the careers of all staff, ensuring adherence to the competency framework. The Senior Project Manager must also maintain a close working relationship with the Director – Engineering and Asset Management, Technical Director, and the Director – Construction, ensuring collaboration between the Advisory and Construction divisions to ensure end-to-end bespoke solutions are offered to clients.Job Requirements:You will need to be a Project Manager who has gained at least 5 years' experience, ideally within the rail sector; however, others will be considered. You should also have a Tertiary Degree in either Construction/Project Management or Engineering, with an engineering background being an advantage. Ideally, you will have gained experience working within the rail infrastructure sector and knowledge of 3rd party access would be a huge advantage. You should also have gained strong exposure working with clients and relevant stakeholders; this role will be heavily engaged dealing with different stakeholders and developers, so strong communication skills and being able to build a rapport is essential. Strong knowledge of the Victorian Building Codes and Planning Regulations is also essential.Benefits:Flexible working available, with 2 days a week WFH. Excellent company culture and social aspects. Exciting newly created role which is a key position within the company.
