Flexible full-time Non-permanent role Until 30/6/2028 Salary $161,283 - $170,436 p.a.
This includes superannuation and leave loading The State Development regional teams across Queensland coordinate the delivery of initiatives such as departmental programs and workshops, to link industry and regional business and grow regional supply chains and productivity Your team: We want you to be a part of a team that is making a difference by leading industry development and regional programs, aligned to the Department's strategic plan.
This includes initiatives that develop and promote the international competitiveness and capability of Queensland's defence, aerospace, space, super yachts, hydrogen, bio futures, bio medical, mining equipment, technology and services, and resource recovery industries.
Your Responsibilities: Develop regional project plans and proposals which align with identified opportunities and strategies in consultation with regional stakeholders Implementing, monitoring and reporting on activities identified within the EDS, RTS and structural adjustment program Lead complex procurement matters Prepare high quality reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, policy, presentations, documents, publications and correspondence Representing government policy in external forums Assist industry and facilitate their interaction with other agencies and levels of government Undertake effective stakeholder management and client engagement particularly with industry to identify and address emerging issues and opportunities, including managing competing work unit priorities Foster a culture of teamwork that values performance, superior client service, a shared purpose and strong team culture, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
About you: A tertiary qualification in economics, statistics or other relevant discipline plus a minimum of four year's experience working in an economic and business development environment, with a proven track record working with external partners in delivering projects that drive quantifiable economic outcomes.
High level interpersonal skills and an ability to connect effectively with and gain cooperation from key decision makers in government and business.
