As Project manager on our Project Finance & M&A deal team, you will be right in the middle of all the action. From working on impactful transactions to leading missions with autonomy, you will be accountable for the smooth execution of advisory missions relating to financial structuring, raising required debt or leading M&A equity finance transactions. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, other stakeholders and the rest of the team. Sydney Green Giraffe team
Our Sydney office opened in 2022 to accelerate the energy transition in Australia and New Zealand, and covers the full scope of Green Giraffe services, including development equity, M&A, debt advisory and strategic support, across all renewable and energy transition technologies, including solar, onshore wind, offshore wind, storage and hydrogen. You will be joining a growing Sydney team and will work in close collaboration with the rest of the Green Giraffe "tower" worldwide (Europe, Americas & Africa) and especially the team spread out across the Asia-pacific region (Singapore & Tokyo).

Key responsibilities
Taking responsibility for advisory missions e.g. relating to financial structuring, raising required debt or supporting M&A equity finance transactions
Leading the interactions with clients, banks and other project stakeholders
Supervising financial analysts on the development and management of financial models and cash flow valuations for renewable energy projects
Overseeing due diligence processes including work prepared by your internal team (associates and analysts) and by other advisors
Gathering of market intelligence on sectors of interest to the company such as electricity markets, debt markets or venture capital markets
Participating actively in the business development of Green Giraffe in Australia and the wider APAC region by proactively maintaining relationships with existing clients, developing your network and reaching out to new potential clients
Being active in sharing knowledge internally within the local, regional and international team
Active participation in an entrepreneurial, international and dynamic team focused on making projects happen and going the extra mile for the client
We are looking for someone with a master's or similar degree, preferably in Finance or Engineering, having 8+ years of relevant work experience and a proven interest for renewable energies.
In addition, here are some attributes that are critical to the job:
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly
A strong understanding of and mastering of financial concepts and products, and financial modelling techniques for PF & M&A transactions
Ability to communicate complex ideas with ease and simplicity
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Initiative, ownership and accountability for allocated tasks
The ability to work in cross-border teams with a willingness to travel abroad
Empathy and willingness to understand the needs and aspirations of relevant stakeholders
Professional experience in the renewable energy sector and project and/or corporate finance
