This is an opportunity to drive future dynamic Projects at Westport Program Westport is a program which sits within the Transport Portfolio. It is the long-term project that is progressing Perth's new, world-class port facility in Kwinana, which will unlock Western Australia's economic growth, allow for the evolution of Fremantle, and deliver local jobs and opportunities in our southern suburbs.
Westport is in an exciting phase, growing a values-based and outcomes-focussed cross-government team to deliver this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
We are seeking highly motivated Project Managers to join our dynamic team at Westport Program. In this role, you will lead critical project initiation and development activities, including preparing program and project plans, as well as managing contracts.
We require candidates with proven project management experience, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Your problem-solving abilities will be essential as you navigate the complexities of risk management. Additionally, you will oversee scoping, cost estimation, and scheduling, ensuring our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaboration with various stakeholders, including industry representatives and cross-agency working groups, is key. You will foster effective communication and relationships through purposeful and concise engagement. We have opportunities across a diverse range of work streams, including areas such as:
Environmental and Social programsSustainability, Net Zero Carbon, and ISC Accreditation programsSupply Chain Performance, Operations and TransitionMarine infrastructure and design programsCommercial OperationsCurrently we are looking to establish a talent pool to fill immediate and future vacancies for Project Management professionals across Westport until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extensions and or permanency.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 24 months from date of first appointment across the Department of Transport.
