Your new role
The council is looking for a Project Manager - Payroll who must demonstrate strong project management experience managing complex IT system upgrade and improvement projects. Proven experience in project managing payroll systems, HRIS, or equivalent systems, with a focus on process improvements.
Accountabilities
Lead the end-to-end SaaS upgrade and improvement of Council's on-premise payroll system and related HR functions.
Managing the identification and implementation of improvements to existing payroll processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy, ensuring the upgraded system is capable of supporting future council needs.
Act as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including HR, Finance, IT, and Payroll teams, to gather requirements and keep them informed of project progress.
What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge of Australian payroll processes, legislation, EBAs (Enterprise Bargaining Agreements) and compliance requirements.
Proven experience project managing payroll systems, HRIS, or equivalent systems, with a focus on process improvement.
Demonstrated success in managing project deliverables across both business and technology domains, including experience managing multi-functional teams.
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field is highly desired.
