KARL STORZ Endoscopy Australiais a world leader in audio-visual integration of operating theatres, visualisation and documentation systems. This role is part of the OR1 team, satisfying customers by providing optimal service, project management, support and installation of theatre equipment.
ResponsibilitiesCarry out all installation requirements of national OR1 customers appropriately.Leverage experience to promote effective project management best practice.Support the development of detailed improvement proposals and presentation of business cases to demonstrate ROI to gain buy-in of key stakeholders.Work with project teams to understand, document and manage project objectives, requirements, scope, schedules and resources.Apply experience and project management skills to execute projects and deliver results on time and within budget.Manage project quality to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and value delivery.Manage vendor selection process as required with OR1 Project Manager.Provide visibility to project status to key stakeholders and management.Installation of electro medical devices and cabling.Establish and maintain lines of communication between customers, health departments, architects, sponsors, builders, contractors, sub-contractors and the Company.Direct attendance on site at hospitals and medical centre operating theatres and facilities.Supervision of installers, third party contractors and sub-contractors.Attend site planning meetings with foreman, builder, engineers, etc.Work closely and in concert with OT Light and Pendant suppliers.Identify, communicate and manage risks and issues.Coordinate delivery and receipt of equipment.Verify job progress for work completion.Assist with the management and implementation of approved installation change orders.Bring installation contract to acceptable and successful conclusion. Obtain customer sign-off.Identify potential installation problems and notify appropriate parties.Advise contractors on installation when the Company is utilised.Responsible for safeguarding and protecting capital equipment.File timely transport requests when it is the Company's responsibility to do so.Recommend changes that will result in improved installation or operation of the Company's equipment. These recommendations will be made to the OR1 Project Manager.Maintain a detailed file on all jobs. At the conclusion of the job, close the file and liaise with the Business Development Manager for review.Maintain and monitor Company property (inventory, tools, software, etc.) and report discrepancies to OR1 Business Development Manager.Support OR1 Business Development Manager with planning tasks as necessary.Provide OR1 expertise support to the service engineers, ensuring work adheres to the Service department's processes.Support OR1 Business Development Manager with Sales tasks.Compliance with current legislation, other regulatory agencies, and institutional and operating systems.Knowledge and adherence to guidelines and procedures as they are described in the QA Manual and WHS management system.Office/field-based work with remote work as approved by Manager.National role inclusive of travel to customer sites for inspections, commissioning and handover of projects.Your TalentsMinimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.Formal qualifications in project management.Hospital ICT integration implementation experience (highly desirable).Holds a construction white card.Holds a current driver's licence.Completion of trade qualification (i.e., electrician).Demonstrate customer focused attitude and approach.Apply technical experience and expertise to ensure success of complex AV integration and technology projects.Previously led and coordinated the execution of project work, having previously managed complete rooms/projects solo from start to finish.Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment with multiple, simultaneous, and fluid priorities.Has the flexibility to travel to installation locations nationally.Attends installation training in the field or as scheduled.Experience with project management with tier 1 and 2 builders (desired).BenefitsLeave Benefits (Annual Leave, Personal Leave, Parental Leave, etc.)Transport Allowance (if applicable to role)Onsite ParkingAccessibility to Public TransportFlexible Work ArrangementsWellness Programs and ActivitiesProfessional Development OpportunitiesGlobal Exposure & Business Travel Opportunities (if applicable to role)
