Summary
Freedom Network Services are recruiting for a manager to manage the design, construction and commissioning of the 33kV point of connection substation and 33kV cable circuits.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: Ensure Company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies are followed – Zero HarmManage team resources and ensure individuals are trained and competent.Recognise best practices and promote innovation ideas.Instigate incident investigations, where necessary, with support from SHEQ AdvisorPromote Freedom values.Monitor progress against programme with support from project plannerManage subcontractorsManage the project budget and prepare the monthly CVR with the project QSPrepare and maintain the site H&S plans and records.
Maintain, report and forecast project progress.
Interact with customer's representatives on and off site.What we're looking for: Previous experience of working on HV substation sitesPrevious experience of managing the installation, testing and commissioning of switchgear, transformers and auxiliary systems up to and including 132kV, and the associated civil works.
Management of project budget and change control.
Working knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC)Experience in management of subcontractorsGood operational knowledge of HV electrical distribution systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsQualifications, accreditations or authorisations required: SMSTS or NEBOSH qualified, with experience of operating on CDM sites EssentialAPM Qualification DesirablePrevious DNO or National Grid authorisations DesirableBenefits:
