As the Project Manager, Operations you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution and monitoring of our rapidly expanding vegetation carbon farming projects.
This position will also be responsible for managing a small project delivery team and includes regular travel to remote areas, where working away from home during peak winter planting seasons will be required.
About the Organisation: Nativ Carbon's purpose is to assist industry to deliver on their decarbonisation commitments through the development of biodiverse environmental plantings W.A.
We leverage our expertise in bio-diverse native vegetation, project management and access to millions of seedlings to deliver practical offset plantings at scale.
Last year Nativ Carbon delivered over 5000ha of environmental plantings throughout regional Western Australia.

Where you fit in Nativ Carbon works with companies and organisations who wish to generate Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCU's) through vegetation farming in the West Australian Wheatbelt.
Nativ Carbon is committed to working with stakeholders to increase carbon sequestration in vegetation and soil to reduce Australia's net carbon emissions.
As Project Manager of Operations you will oversee the project delivery team to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of Nativ Carbon's offset revegetation projects.
Your expertise and guidance will be crucial in achieving the organisations goals whilst maintaining a high standard of management services.
This is a hands-on role which will involve on the ground revegetation management and support services, as well as overseeing the operation and maintenance of company plant and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Project Planning & Strategy Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, timelines and resource requirements.
Formulate and implement strategies to optimise carbon sequestration.
Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including landowners, environmental agencies and community members.
Foster positive relationships to ensure successful project implementation and alignment with local and global sustainability goals.
Site Selection & Management Conduct thorough site assessments to identify suitable locations for vegetation plantings, including a base knowledge of soil types and native species.
Manage land preparation, planting and ongoing maintenance activities.
Budgeting & Resource Allocation Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to secure necessary resources and materials.
Monitoring & Reporting Establish robust monitoring systems to track project performance and key performance indicators.
Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting project achievements and addressing challenges.
The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in relevant field(s) Proven experience in project management Knowledge and experience in effective techniques for revegetation Experience in native plant and weed identification Mapping & GIS experience Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience working in a cross-cultural environment with the cultural context when working with Aboriginal or other Indigenous peoples.
Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication skills, highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to use Microsoft Office programs in the preparation of reports.

An attractive salary package will be negotiated based on experience and skill set including a company vehicle.
Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000pa This role will be offered as a 12-month contract initially, with transition to a permanent full time position thereafter for the right candidate.
A 3-month probationary period is applicable.
Commencement: Successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
