Project Manager – Operational Technology (OT) InfrastructureStrategium is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure (with 15+ years' experience) to join our team. This is a Darwin role with the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of the company. Location of work Darwin initially then remote work would be suitable. If not Darwin-based, then travel is required as part of the role.Project Overview:We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale, multi-year project aimed at designing and implementing modern Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure for an energy company in the Northern Territory. This critical project will establish common, scalable infrastructure for future OT systems, and the project manager must work closely with these projects as they will be dependent on the underlying infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large OT infrastructure project.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple workstreams.Oversee the design and deployment of scalable OT infrastructure including data centres and compute infrastructure (storage and virtualisation).Work with existing areas of IT / OT and their vendors to implement 24x7 support structures.Work with security and network teams to implement a scalable environment security framework that includes logging, monitoring, and auditing.Work with security and network teams to implement a scalable application security framework that will manage identity, remote access, encryption, and certificates.Work with security and network teams to implement a flexible and secure network and firewall configurations.Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery infrastructure and plans to maintain operational continuity.Design and implement application performance management that includes logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for both software and infrastructure.Implement process and systems to enable effective patching and version control across all infrastructure.Assess options for API gateway integrations, message queues, middleware, and system-wide software deployment and operations that can be adopted by future applications.Key Requirements:Proven experience as a Project Manager in Operational Technology (OT) environments, particularly within energy or utilities sectors.Strong experience working with SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and related platforms such as Pi and distributed energy resource management (DERM).Demonstrated expertise in modern OT infrastructure, including data centres, storage, virtualisation, and 24x7 high-availability systems.Experience managing backup, disaster recovery, and performance systems, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.Expertise in networking, firewall management, and API gateway integration.Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate large, complex projects over multiple years.Familiarity with industry standards for patching, version control, and software and infrastructure deployment.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Experience in energy dispatching systems and integration of OT/IT environments.Experience working in large-scale energy or utilities infrastructure projects.Lives in Darwin or willing to relocate to NT - while this is not mandatory, it is very desirable.What we offer:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Opportunities for career development and ongoing training.Flexible work arrangements and a focus on work-life balance.Comprehensive health and wellness initiatives.A collaborative and supportive team environment.Travel may be required.About us:Strategium-Act Pty Ltd is a leading professional services firm.
