The digital, sensing and automation stream of the Closure R&D includes a key program of work aimed to: develop and validate advanced techniques to remotely and safely identifying invasive weeds by using remote sensing and analytics develop and validate remotely operated platforms (drones, rovers, etc.
), applying appropriate weed management treatments.

The digital, sensing and automation stream of the Closure R&D includes a key program of work aimed to: develop and validate advanced techniques to remotely and safely identifying invasive weeds by using remote sensing and analytics develop and validate remotely operated platforms (drones, rovers, etc.
), applying appropriate weed management treatments.
In addition, Closure R&D is establishing a mineral waste handling program, which intends to build digital twins for the mine's mineral waste, applying optimisation methods through the life of mine planning to reduce closure costs and residual risks.
To advance these programs, there is a need for technology project management services to support the Mine's closure R&D team.
The services are to engage effectively with various stakeholders, to scope technology/R&D projects, and to provide support in the execution of a number of these projects.

Strong communication skills Proven experience in scoping, shaping and leading the development of technology based projects Applied project management knowledge in leading projects and programs for technology development and implementation including planning, scheduling and budget management.
Tertiary qualifications in engineering (e.g.
systems, robotics and mechatronics, automation, computer science, etc.)
Capacity of handling portfolios of various projects in different stages and subjects Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders in a large, cross-functional environment Robust commercial and contractual acumen for the establishment of R&D and intellectual property/technology commercialisation partnerships Capacity for divergent thinking combined with an entrepreneurial and venture investment mindset.
Highly Desirable requirements: Agile and/or PMP certifications Experience in scoping and leading the execution of integrated digital and automation development programs covering detection/data capture (in-situ and remote sensing), prediction models and robotics platforms adoption and validation.
Key Deliverables for the two main projects: Weed management program: Prepare scope of work documentations, in liaison with various subject matter experts, external partner, and site teams, for remote sensing identification and analytics stream, ecological stream, and delivery platforms stream Managing weekly sessions, actions, meeting notes, and capturing/updating/following up the action register in Microsoft Planner Manage and coordinate trials activities with the sites, business partner and internal teams Prepare option analysis reports on supplier analysis Manage budget and schedule of various projects in the program with reporting in the internal project control management tool (PPM) Prepare/update monthly cost forecast and update the internal forecast tool Any other project management requirements as specified from time to time by the Principal Advisor - Closure R&D for Sensing, Automation & Digital Mineral waste handling program: Prepare scope of work for heavy machinery optimisation and automation projects Prepare scope of work for waste optimisation stream Manage weekly actions, meeting notes and updating actions register in the Microsoft Planner Prepare option analysis reports on supplier analysis Follow up and update the action register Manage budget and schedule of various projects in the program with reporting in the internal project control management tool (PPM) Any other project management requirements as specified from time to time by the Principal Advisor - Closure R&D for Sensing, Automation & Digital To submit your application, please apply online using the appropriate link below.
