Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our high performing Clermont team onsite. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 11 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. The primary purpose of this role is to project manage activities associated with preparing and implementing mine closure plans in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. Reporting to the Operations Manager/SSE and positioned within the site senior leadership team, this role will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.
In this role you will: Coordinate and lead the Clermont Mine Closure ProjectLead the scoping and delivery of site rehabilitation, demolition, asset disposal and closure objectives ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and within budget, scope and scheduleCollaborate with senior leadership to ensure project goals are achievedImplement and manage processes for cost management, scheduling and risk management related to mine closureDrive the site closure budgeting processDemonstrate an overriding commitment to health safety and environmental responsibility by ensuring you and your team comply with Clermont Open Cut's and GCAA's SHMS and all relevant legislationRequirements of the role include: Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or Trade (Desirable)Proved Project Management experience in mining/resources/civil construction or heavy industryHigh level of business and commercial acumenKnowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards and Government policy guidelinesExperience in the design, construction and management of large, complex mining/infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholdersExperience within the coal industry would be highly desirableExcellent interpersonal, cooperative and facilitation skills as part of interfacing with various level of management and external bodies and agenciesAbility to work in high pressure and competing priority/ambiguous environments for sustained periods including outside normal business hoursAbility to manage and build positive relationshipsAct decisively, honestly and with integrity at all timesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsQLD Drivers LicenceWhat We Offer Highly competitive remuneration package including an annual short-term incentive bonusNine-day fortnight (5/2/4/3) work pattern availableFully maintained Company vehicleFIFO, DIDO or Residential options availableProfessional development, tailored training opportunities and a generous education assistance programHealthy Lifestyle reimbursement scheme, up to $5,000 per yearHeavily subsidised Company housing along with a generous local living allowance when residing locally in local community of ClermontRelocation AssistanceApplications close: 27 January 2025
