Position: Project Manager – Lands Planning
The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) aims to drive the sustainable, economic and social advancement of the Northern Territory (NT) through land use and transport planning, infrastructure investment and effective logistics supply chains.
Your primary objective is to provide high level professional advice and information to the Minister and Department for Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL), relevant Government agencies, industries, and the public on land use policies in consultation with stakeholders and the community to ensure that land is developed for the sustainable economic, environmental, and social benefit of Territorians.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide a high degree of leadership and management skills.
Develop an effective team.
Apply knowledge of the NT Planning Scheme 2020 and the Planning Act 1999 to develop, manage and deliver complex strategic land use planning projects.
Proactively interact with other Government Departments and external agencies to ensure activities are strategically focused and risks minimized.

To be successful, you require:

A degree or diploma qualification related to Land Use Planning with eligibility for admission to corporate membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.
High-level capability to provide specialist advice to senior management and key stakeholders on planning policy throughout the Territory.
Demonstrated project management skills, political and cross-cultural awareness, and the ability to communicate with influence, negotiate and resolve conflict.
