About the Role Are you passionate about project management and public transportation? The Public Transport Authority (PTA) of Western Australia is seeking a proactive and skilled Project Manager to join our team, leading essential projects to enhance and expand our Bus and Ferry network. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive impactful projects that contribute to the ongoing improvement of Western Australia's public transport system.
As the Project Manager, you will lead and manage low to medium-risk projects within the PTA's bus and ferry networks, overseeing all stages of project delivery from planning to completion. You will be responsible for developing and implementing project plans, including detailed designs, quantities, cost estimates, and financial justifications. Collaborating closely with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, and timelines while adhering to PTA's quality standards. Additionally, you will monitor project risks and proactively address issues, aligning with the PTA's Project Management Framework. This role requires supervising and mentoring team members, fostering a positive team environment, and promoting compliance with regulations and policies. You will also build and maintain stakeholder relationships, leading engagement plans with consultants, contractors, and government agencies, as well as oversee contract management activities, including procurement planning, tender preparation, evaluation, and contract administration.
About You! To excel in this role, you should possess:
