Are you an experienced and skilled Project Manager with a passion for coordinating complex projects from conception to completion and seeing successful outcomes? Do you have demonstrated extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, the financial management of projects and budgets, and in preparing reports and contractual documentation? We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Project Manager to join our Project Management team to ensure the successful delivery of Strategic Infrastructure Projects in line with our strategic objectives.
As the successful Project Manager, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of large projects such as the City's new Library and Cultural Centre as well as various sustainability infrastructure projects. You'll engage external professional consultants as required, prepare tender documentation as well as other contractual documentation and be responsible for monitoring performance and compliance of contractors. In joining us, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the City's building assets and community.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essential

Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Planning, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent.
Comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements and local government policies relating to development.
Comprehensive knowledge of local government and relevant state government administrative procedures.

Demonstrated extensive experience in project management, with proven ability to coordinate a comprehensive range of disciplines for large complex projects.
Significant experience in monitoring performance and compliance of contractors and/or consultants to ensure contract guidelines are being met and performance targets are achieved.
Significant demonstrated experience in tendering, general conditions of contract and specification writing, contract management and delivery.
Significant financial experience relating to budgeting and monthly review and reporting.
