Job Title: Project Manager - Wilmar Sugar 12-24 Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Townsville Job Opportunity We are seeking a Project Manager to lead this game-changing initiative to mobilise our workforce.
You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering the successful rollout of tablets to frontline workers across all sites.
This role is critical to ensuring our teams are equipped with the tools they need to perform smarter, faster, and more collaboratively.
About the Business Wilmar Sugar is Australia's largest Manufacturer and exporter of raw sugar, and among the top 10 producers globally.
We own and operate eight sugar factories across the Herbert, Burdekin, Proserpine and Sarina regions and employ more than 2,000 people during the annual sugar production season.
We are one of Australia's largest generators of renewable electricity from biomass and one of only two bioethanol producers in Australia.
We are also the largest sugarcane grower in Australia and a leading supplier of sustainable liquid fertiliser and stockfeed products.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the tablet rollout project across all sugar mill sites.
Develop and deliver project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
Work closely with frontline teams and stakeholders to identify requirements and address challenges.
Oversee Pilot implementation, gather feedback, and refine processes for full-scale rollout.
Drive change management, ensuring strong adoption of tablets and digital workflows.
Collaborate with IT, operations, and leadership teams to ensure smooth integration of new tools.
Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership Requirements: Proven experience (5+ years) managing projects in a corporate environment from inception to transition to the business Proven experience in driving business improvement projects with measurable outcomes Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and resources effectively Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and/or Project Management certification (e.g.
PMP, PPM, PMI-ACP, CSM) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Good track record in identifying and removing roadblocks Proven experience in Agile methodologies is advantageous Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.
