Biodiversity Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest for an experienced Project Manager for the Vegetation Unit operations, based within the Western Downs region.

About the role This role will be responsible for managing out long-term project in the Rail Corridor within the Toowoomba/ Western Downs Region.
The successful applicant will have outstanding experience in project management within the Environmental and/or Construction industry. It would be considered an advantage if you have experience in rail or vegetation projects.
The position requires exceptional client engagement skills as well as team management with a focus on quality of works and project delivery. Understanding of budgets and reporting to Senior Management outlining financial and non-financial performance of the project is also a significant part of the role.
You will lead the definition of the scope and deliverables of the rail project, create and maintain project documentation, and develop project plans and delivery schedules to deliver outcomes effectively while meeting all relevant quality standards.
You will support procurement activities to ensure compliance with policies and processes, securing the best value and outcomes.
Those who have min 3-5yrs experience managing projects including budgets, quality control and team culture are likely to be a strong candidate for this role.
About you To be successful in the role of Project Manager, you will meet the following criteria:
Ideally have rail project expertise, however this is not essential -or-Expertise in vegetation managementStrong analytical skills and problem-solving capability with a focus on identifying and addressing challenges effectivelyStrong Leadership qualities that contribute to a positive team cultureUnderstanding, maintaining and reporting on budgets for your projectExcellent writing, communication, and relationship management skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholdersProject management or Horticulture/Environmental qualifications will be highly regarded
The remuneration for this role is negotiable and initially will be based on proven skillset and experience.
