This is a permanent, Full-time position based in our Chifley Square Head office. Reporting into the Head of EPMO, the Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of project strategy, planning, implementation, and benefit management services to complex, organisation-wide projects.As part of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) team, you will have the opportunity to lead all aspects of project initiation, planning, implementation and benefits management for a range of projects. Project management services include developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with the Business NSW project governance framework. The Project Manager is also responsible for co-designing and leading implementation of EPMO governance and capability building tools, so that enterprise project performance is enhanced.Main responsibilities include:Design and implement innovative ways to strengthen Business NSW project governance, delivery, and performance.Successfully lead project management service delivery on multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.Lead project risk management and assessment of change impact through evidence-based, data-driven performance reporting that improves leader decision making.Continuously improve the Business NSW project governance framework and EPMO tools and templates, promoting uptake and usage across enterprise projects.Build organisational capability as custodian of the Business NSW Project Management Centre of Expertise.Co-design project strategies and engagement plans in collaboration with stakeholders.Lead the development of detailed project plans, schedules, and other governance tools.Manage project budgets, expenditures, resourcing, ensuring financial targets are met.Lead the development of change management plans that minimise project delivery risk and manage people impacts.Advise senior Business NSW leaders on sponsoring and leading organisational change.Lead and chair governance forums that enable effective sponsorship and decision making.Monitor and measure project benefits, and lead post-project activities to realise benefits.Ensure project implementation meets quality standards and stakeholder expectations.Work collaboratively within the EPMO and with other enabling teams to effectively manage enterprise and cross-functional dependencies, and to ensure delivery of quality project management services to stakeholders.To be successful in this role, you will:Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant area, e.g., Business.Have Project management and change management certification/s.Have experience leading best practice with a service-driven approach, fostering a culture of positivity, accountability, and proactive initiative within the team.Be able to apply business acumen to align project management service delivery with strategic goals, influencing business strategy at a senior level.Be confident leading stakeholder engagement by articulating complex issues clearly, providing effective governance and influencing decision-making.Demonstrate organisational and time management expertise.Demonstrate a service-oriented approach, enthusiastic, motivated, positive attitude, good initiative and a self-starter.About the business:Business NSW is an Australian independent, not-for-profit membership organisation that identifies the key issues impacting business and finds practical policy solutions to ensure businesses across New South Wales prosper and grow.
