Job Title: Project Manager – Sporting Facilities Location: Sydney Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of our new racquet club facilities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in managing and delivering projects ranging from from pop ups and activations through to large scale builds and bring a passion for creating top-tier environments for athletes and public. You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Ensure alignment between internal and external stakeholders to meet project goals. Budget Management: Take charge of overseeing project budgets, tracking expenses, and maintaining cost control. Approve expenditures, negotiate contracts, and effectively manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle. Vendor & Contractor Management: Select, manage, and collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure they meet project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Construction Oversight: Supervise the construction process from inception through to completion, ensuring that all safety standards, building codes, and design specifications are adhered to. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of architects, engineers, designers, and other personnel, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture. Quality Assurance & Risk Management: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets industry standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project. Communication & Reporting: Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates to senior management, clients, and other key parties. Address and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track. Post-Project Evaluation: Ensure project completion to satisfaction, conduct post-project reviews, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement in future projects. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Production Management or related fields will be highly regarded. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction or renovation projects, ideally in sports facilities, arenas, gyms, or similar environments. Skills & Competencies: Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills. Familiarity with sports facility needs, including specialized equipment, seating, locker rooms, lighting, and acoustics. Proficient with project management software (MS Project, Procore, or similar tools). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
