Position: Commercial Project Manager
Location: Head office Wollongong (Projects in Sydney & Regional NSW)
We are seeking a highly qualified Commercial Project Manager to join a dynamic and expanding construction company based in Wollongong. This role offers the opportunity to lead prestigious fit-out projects across Sydney and regional NSW, with project values ranging from $1 million to $10 million. A proven record of success in managing complex fit-out projects is a key requirement.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of commercial fit-out projects, from pre-construction planning through to completion. Effectively manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Lead and motivate teams of subcontractors and consultants, fostering collaboration and high performance. Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Ensure strict adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, implementing solutions to keep projects on track. Ideal Candidate Profile: Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated capacity to independently manage projects within a collaborative team environment. A minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial fit-out construction project management. Extensive knowledge of fit-out construction processes and best practices. Proficiency with industry-standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SiteDocs). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. A proactive, results-driven mindset, with a passion for solving challenges in a fast-paced environment.
