You will oversee nbn network upgrade projects across South Australia, managing a range of construction projects from initiation to deployment. With end-to-end responsibility for project delivery, you will manage the field workforce, contractors, schedules, client expectations, and ensure financial performance of your project portfolio.The ideal candidate will have extensive telecommunications experience, especially in delivering nbn-type programs, and a strong understanding of fibre optic networks. You should also be familiar with the civil requirements for site setups, as well as managing work allocation, safety standards and effectively communicating risks and liaising with stakeholders right through to completion.Day to day you will:Interface with internal/external customers, in particular external Project Managers to ensure the successful completion and profitability of multiple major projects (typically multi-million dollar projects).Ensure that Enerven WH&S policies, procedures and practices are applied to all major project/construction undertakings.Provide customer service to Enerven internal customers and key external customers and community groups to a high standard.Assume ultimate responsibility for the performance of the projects' management of:Safety and well-being of people and the environmentProject ScheduleDesign development and approvalClient and Stakeholder relationshipsResourcing, human and non-humanQuality Control and Quality AssuranceSupply Chain and procurementCommercial both upstream and downstreamRisks and OpportunitiesFinancesLead initial budget setting, forecasting and assessment for cost control throughout the project delivery.Keep the business well informed of the health of each contract by timely presentation of monthly project reporting covering safety, environmental and financial performance along with reporting on project risk, opportunity, procurement & progress.About youWe're seeking a self-driven individual who thrives on challenges and excels in a fast-paced environment. This role is 90% office-based, with the added responsibility of conducting two audits and field observations per month alongside the Field Supervisor to ensure smooth operations.You will be a clear and logical thinker who can quickly understand risks and issues and work to mitigate or resolve them efficiently.
