The Role As the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation to completion. The projects could be infrastructure driven and/or application based. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with a focus on quality. Your extensive experience in IT project management will be essential in driving project success and ensuring the continuous improvement of project management practices across Discovery Parks. Your Role Responsibilities Project Planning: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria. Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to achieve project goals. Align project objectives and deliverables with business and IT strategy. Project Execution and Delivery: Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction and support. Scope and agree deliverables. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project management best practices. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, manage issues, and implement corrective actions. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. Budget and Resource Management: Work closely with finance and PMO to establish and manage project budgets. Optimise resource allocation to maximize project efficiency and outcomes. Regularly monitor project status and expenses, and report on financial performance. Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify and assess project risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks. Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans. Facilitate effective issue resolution and escalation when necessary. Stakeholder Management and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain and enhance the business relationships. Provide regular project updates, status reports, and executive-level briefings. Address stakeholder concerns and ensure alignment with project objectives. Quality Assurance and Documentation: Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and lessons learned. Implement and oversee IT testing strategies and plans. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve project management methodologies and processes. Identify opportunities to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness. Your Experience Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant field, combined with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. You will have proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently. You will have strong proficiency in project management methodologies e.g. Prince 2, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and tools, including Jira. By bringing a high level of energy, self-motivation, decisiveness, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail to G'day Group together with your naturally upbeat and open communication style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset, with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders whilst working closely with our established IT Team.
