This pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts, secondments, acting/relieving and permanent opportunities.This position is offered as a twelve (12) month contract/secondment opportunity with the possibility of extension.ROLE OF WORK UNITThe Strategy Coordination Division sits within the Office of the Commissioner of Police and reports to the Commissioner's Chief of Staff.
The division's role is to help the Commissioner and senior executive explore options which better position the agency both now and for the longer term in addition to advocating the Commissioner's direction across the agency by connecting people together, problems to solutions and awareness to issues aligned with the Agency Strategic Framework.The division is made up of 3 units:Corporate Strategy: supports the WA Police Force to achieve its strategic objectives through communication, coordination and alignment.Reporting and Evaluation: scans and engages across portfolios and partner agencies to prepare strategic briefings and reports.Frontline Administration Streamlining Team (FAST): harvests ideas that increase efficiency or save frontline officer time/effort and provides rapid visibility of these ideas to senior executive for approval and implementation.THE ROLEThe Strategy Coordination Division is looking for a Project Manager that operates at a strategic management level, responsible for leading and managing projects that support the agency executive make progress on high-risk matters involving senior stakeholders under time pressure.
