Exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a Tier 1 mining company.
13th November, 2024 Our Client, a Tier 1 Iron Ore Producer, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager .
This role will be primarily based at their Perth location working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with site trips required once per month for up to 2 days in length at a time.
Duties and Responsibilities: Supporting strategy implementation and delivery and improvement Leading medium-large teams Managing project plans and budgets Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships within and across teams Plan, manage and direct large-scale, complex projects based on a defined need and to achieve project objectives. Planning the scope and baseline for the project, including defining the project plan, charter and project schedule Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan Apply management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to a broad range of tasks to deliver the desired result for a particular project in a timely manner Execute the project schedule to ensure that the project team completes each activity according to plan Accountable for the delivery and success of the project and the acceptance of the product by the customer Ensure all projects adhere to end to end project methodology compliance standards. Identify project dependencies and assess and resolve all project risks as they are encountered Accountable for accurate and timely data quality in the relevant information systems Experience and Qualifications Required: Project Management qualification – PMI, PRINCE2, Diploma/Certificate in PM, or equivalent 10-years Project Management experience, including in the last 5-years consecutively. Advanced skillset managing accurate MS project schedules, financials, risks, issues Ability to work with various levels stakeholder from senior executives to foundational delivery teams (engineers, scheduler, financial controller). Clear understanding on developing and managing critical path Ability to work in partnership with our external service providers Experience mobilising teams Previous experience delivering infrastructure and network projects (Desirable) PM – PMBOK Qualification (Desirable) Please note we can only accept Perth based candidates that have existing working rights, sponsorship is not available.
