They will have in-depth knowledge of the Project Management function and be responsible for the development, implementation, compliance, and review of policies and procedures relevant to their work within that function. They will engage in complex to very complex problem solving and issues management and may coordinate and perform detailed or sensitive projects that affect strategic, political, or operational outcomes for Defence.Accountable to plan, lead, and manage a range of human and physical resources and exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve business outcomes. You will manage a team and develop and implement work plans, set performance indicators, and review individual, team, and business performance.Oversee the accurate and effective communication of the project strategy and key program artefacts to all relevant stakeholder groups, including industry where appropriate.Maintain contemporary knowledge of project deliverables and represent the Director at forums the Director is unable to attend.Maintain contemporary knowledge of Defence strategic direction and supporting artefacts; legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks; and government decision-making processes and regulations to ensure programmatic compliance.Analyse project gaps and opportunities, establish options in consultation with relevant stakeholders, and provide recommendations to the Director.About our TeamThe DSED is part of the Military Systems Division in the Defence Digital Group (DDG).
